Mrs. Schneider's Classroom Website

Welcome to 1st Grade!

I hope everyone has a happy and safe summer.  Thanks for you for a great year!  :)

Uniform Reminders:

**If your child wears boots to school, they must bring a change of shoes!

**Please remember that the school pants your child wears need to be uniform slacks.  They should be navy twill or corduroy straight legged pants not blue sweat pant material!  Please reference the handbook (p. 18-20) if needed.

**Please log into Think Central for extra math help!  Assignments are being assigned for extra practice!

***Supplies Needed:  Many children are missing crayons.  They will need to replenish their crayon supply ASAP!  Please remember we use a box of 24 crayons max!   Please ask your child if he/she needs new crayons.  You may also want to ask if they need new pink erasers too!  Thanks!  :)

If your child brings a water bottle for snack, please make sure that he/she can close it properly or pack it in one of the outside pockets of their backpacks.  We have had several spills on school books etc...

**As noted in the letter that I sent home on the first day of school, students will need to bring their gym shoes to school if they are different from their school shoes.  Students will need to change into their gym shoes for gym class.**

Occasionally, I will send home Scholastic Book order forms.  Books can also be ordered via the Scholastic website at that time as well.  Please see below:

** Please be sure to label all school supplies and belongings.

**  Please check your child's "home" folder everyday and return to school.

**  Students will need to bring a separate healthy snack every day.  This can be put in a separate baggie from the lunch box/bag.  However, do not feel that you need to buy another lunch bag or container for snack.   The snack should be something small that can be eaten in about 10 min. (i.e. carrot sticks, fish crackers, cheese sticks,  fruit),  Your child may also want to bring a juice box or water bottle as well.

**  Please be aware that we do have a peanut allergy in our class!
